TERRELL BLACKWELL

Terrell was born in New York and moved to Waycross Georgia at the age of 5 where he was introduced to a plethora of sports. The two sports that he came to love equally was soccer and basketball.  He played both and excelled at both.  Terrell was taught the game of soccer at 5 years old by a professional soccer player from Germany.  She made sure to really teach the game to this group of hungry players that were in her charge.  He left the game of soccer in his later years but picked it back up again.  When he began to play again, he rekindled his love for the game. He wanted to improve on his game to really be competitive in the leagues he was playing in. Terrell set out to do so and trained and skillfully became adept at the game once again.

Subsequently, Terrell plays for multiple soccer teams and enjoys it to the fullest. He takes pleasure in playing for a diversity of teams and relishes in the fact that being disciplined when it comes to the game can indeed be a character and integrity building experience.  Showing up and being prepared makes all the difference.

DESIREE GONZALEZ

Born and raised in Texas, Desiree Gonzalez has been enamored by the game of soccer since she was 5 years of age.  She began playing soccer while living in Texas.  “Dez” moved to Delaware at the age of 12, where she continued playing the game that captured her heart.  She was selected to participate in the Delaware Olympic Development Program Summer Program because her love and natural skills and ability was evident in the way she played the game.  Dez also played with the travel team at Kirkwood Soccer Club from the age of 13 to 18.  Moreover, Dez continued to engage in the game she loved so well, playing soccer from her sophomore year in high school to her senior year.  During her senior year playing with Newark High School, the squad reached 1st team all-state, and 1st team all-conference.

Additionally, Dez played collegiate soccer for 1.5 years at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA.  Dez considers herself a player first but did do some coaching and refereeing at Kirkwood Soccer Club in Delaware.  Her love for soccer runs deep and she currently plays on a co-ed soccer team called “The Bad Ballers.”

MARCOS SAUCE

Marcos was born and raised in Mexico City for the first 5 years of his life.  He moved to Delaware when he was six years old and started playing soccer when he was 11.  He found that he developed a love for the game and started off in the position of striker.  Marcos became one of the best strikers growing up until unfortunately, he was in a car accident which caused him to have to pause the game of soccer for 3 years.  This was a heartbreaking time in his life because playing soccer was something that Marcos held so dear.  He understood it was necessary to facilitate the healing he needed to get back to the game that gave him so much joy.  Marcos eventually made a comeback, but not as a striker but a goalkeeper.  Marcos fell in love with the goalkeeper position and that is what he plays to this day.

Moreover, Marcos’ love for the game led him to not only play, but eventually take over for “Bad Boys”, an elite men’s soccer team.  During his team play, Marco has won many championships, which he is very proud of.  Soccer is indeed more than just a game for Marcos.
